How bottles work
The returnable-deposit system
Most of our beers come in returnable glass — quarts and pints that go back into circulation. You pay a small refundable deposit on the bottle (and crate); when you return the empties, that deposit comes back or offsets your next order.
It keeps trade costs down, keeps glass out of landfill, and means there's always stock flowing both ways. Cans and imports are one-way and priced accordingly.
